[Okepas] Alternate for EOI

40 lashes with a wet noodle for me!!! I didn't tell you this part:
            It breaks my heart to tell you but, unfortunately, the State Regents do not have funds available to pay for ACT Aspire. I can tell you a few things that I hope will be helpful:

*      When you order, be sure to indicate that you are a current customer - that gives you a bit of a discount.

*      Although I support the comprehensive package of ACT Aspire, all you have to have for use as an alternate EOI is the summative test.

*      Computer delivered assessment is much cheaper than paper and pencil.

*      You do not have to use all content areas of the test for it to be scored. Check out the cost per content area versus the student's needs and goals.

*      As I understand it, the maximum cost of one test if you don't follow any tips, is $28.

o   You will only pay for those tests that are scored.

o   You should order tests if you believe you may need them.

o   There may be a deadline for cancelling your order so do pay attention to that possibility.

Colleagues and Friends,
I interrupt your summer for a matter of high importance!
As you know, the PLAN test taken AFTER October 31, 2014 is not valid as an alternate for any End of Instruction test. So what are you to do???

Melissa White, SDE, is working on an agenda item for the June 25 State Board of Education meeting which, if approved, will allow ACT Aspire to be used as an alternate.

The reason I am interrupting your summer is that the ABSOLUTE Deadline for ordering for the fall is July 1.   I just got word back from ACT that this is the deadline for Oklahoma schools even though the website says June 19.

The fall window for ACT Aspire summative testing is October 12 - December 4.
