BIA Tribal Youth Art Contest





For the visual arts and photo contest in the climate resilience program: draw, paint, or take a picture of something you value in your community that may be at risk, or vulnerable. Include a caption for your art describing the current impact and what might be done about it. Elementary, Jr High, and High School levels are eligible to apply.

Submissions are due by May 14th. Submit art, captions, and any questions to Youth.Art.Contest at bia.gov<mailto:Youth.Art.Contest at bia.gov>.







1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will have their art displayed in the hallways of the Department of the Interior buildings. A matching framed piece will be sent to the school with a letter announcing winners.

Artwork will be Judged on:

  *   Subject: How clearly are your thoughts expressed in the art?
  *   Caption or artistic statement: does this help the viewer understand the subject.
