Good afternoon.

 On June 11, 2010 the President declared a major disaster declaration
for the State of Oklahoma for Public Assistance as a result of damages
from the severe storms and tornadoes that occurred on May 10-13, 2010.
The disaster is FEMA-1917-DR-OK.

 

The 10 counties for this declaration include:

 

Alfalfa, Cleveland, Grant, Major, McIntosh, Noble, Okfuskee, Osage,
Pottawatomie, and Seminole.

 

Please let your Local Officials, EM's, County Commissioners, Schools,
Fire Departments, Tribes, Rural Water Districts, and any Private Non
Profits know about the Applicant Briefings in your area.

 

FEMA will hold their Kick Off Meeting directly following the Applicant
Briefing so if you would like to go ahead and bring any of your
paperwork with you, please do so.

 

The Request for Public Assistance should be completed at the Applicant
Briefing. Any eligible entity must complete the Request for Public
Assistance within the 30 day deadline from the date of the declaration
which is July 10, 2010. Along with the copy of the Applicant Briefing
Schedule, you will also find a RPA attached. If you would like to fill
it out and bring it with you that will be fine. We will also have them
available at the briefing in your packet.
