Subject:          Potential FY2021 Budget Reduction Scenarios 7.5% and 10%


Senate Appropriations and Budget Education Subcommittee Chairman Dewayne Pemberton has requested that our State System of Higher Education institutions provide detailed information related to potential FY2021 budget cut scenarios of 7.5 percent and 10 percent.

Accordingly, each institution is requested to complete the attached forms (Attachment A) that specify the negative impacts that a 7.5 percent and 10 percent budget cut would have on your campuses. Senator Pemberton has specifically asked that we include the number of positions and number of programs that would be eliminated under these scenarios.

For your reference in compiling your responses, we have also attached a breakdown of the potential reduction amounts for both scenarios (Attachment B).

It may be helpful to include a cover letter with the submission of your budget reduction forms that would include a narrative summarizing the negative impacts that the potential budget reduction scenarios of 7.5 percent and 10 percent would have on your respective institutions.

Please return the completed forms and cover letter to Interim Vice Chancellor for Budget and Finance Sheri Mauck at smauck at osrhe.edu<mailto:smauck at osrhe.edu> by close of business on Monday, April 27 so that the information can be compiled and submitted to Senator Pemberton.
