[Cobo] COBO and Health Benefits Strategy

I hope you are enjoying this Friday accompanied by a welcome dose of true fall weather.

Thank you for participating in our COBO meeting last week. Thank you for the thoughts, counsel and encouragement many of you have offered this week regarding the projects on our agenda.

After our presentation at the COBO meeting on systemwide health benefits cost increases, it was requested that we share the results of the OSRHE Health Benefits survey.  I have attached a summary and synthesis of those materials.  We are confident that you will all agree that this report presents a treasure trove of opportunities to inspire analysis, discussion, scrutiny, institution-level cost avoidance and potentially system level collective action.

As mentioned at the meeting, we will be convening a series of meetings to focus on health benefits costs.  Please respond directly to me via e-mail to share the names and contact information for any representatives from your institution who would like to participate in these important discussions and presentations.

We hope this information will spark an active dialogue.  We want to hear from you!
