[D2l-alert] 10.3.0 SP1 PROD Date discussion

Hello all,

I had a request from our Academic Affairs committee to explore the possibility of moving up a date.  January 6th is the first day of our intercession courses. Our upgrade to 10.0 created some major challenges in our intercession courses when certain tools/functions didn't work for a few days.

Would it work for all calendars to upgrade on January 2nd or 3rd?  That would give us a few more days just in case there are required "fixes" after the upgrade.

What are your thoughts?

FYI... I have already spoken with Shelley Constant to upgrade to 10.3.0 SP1 on TEST. We will be comparing the latest version of D2L on our TEST site to the Canvas learning management system next spring. We will make a decision soon about whether we want to continue with the plan to upgrade PROD to 10.3.0 SP1 on January 6th. I would still like to move forward with the OS upgrade on the 11/24 so we don't prevent the upgrade possibility should we decide to proceed. Please contact me if you have questions or concerns. Learning Suite 10.2.0 SP5
Learning Suite 10.1.0 SP13
Learning Suite 10.0.0 SP17

It can be found under Documentation > Under "Help Yourself", click the "Releases" tab, click the link for Service Pack Documentation<https://community.desire2learn.com/d2l/lms/content/viewer/main_frame.d2l?cfql=1&tId=130577&ou=1947>.

Actions: To request your Service pack installation, please login to https://helpdesk.desire2learn.com and select "Request a Service Pack". Clients on shared instances are not required to request their service pack.
