Hi everyone,

I hated to have to miss the "stress relief" get together yesterday, but
I had too many things going on. I had to go clean the PAWS pens, and I
had told my daughter, Destiny, we would go to the concert, so I had to
be ready to do that. I figured she would enjoy the tunes from the
cartoons and sitcoms, but she really thought the one from "Napoleon
Dynamite" was "flippin' sweet". She loves that movie. When we left we
drove past Miller Hall, and I told her that that was the girls dorm, or
at least it was back when I was going to college here. She looked over
there and said, "Then why are all those guys hanging around out front?"
"Because it's the girls dorm," I told her.

Tonight the "Battle of Gowen Mountain" will take place at Hartshorne.
It's the many year old rivalry between Wilburton and Hartshorne, settled
every year on the football field. It should be a good game if you're
looking for something to do. I found out last week that you have to
keep your eyes open at all times, though. When Wilburton scores a
touchdown the cheerleaders throw little souvenir footballs into the
crowd. I was just looking around at the crowd and all of a
sudden...Whap! One of those little souvenir footballs hit me right
square in the shoulder! I remember so many times when Destiny was
little and we'd go to games and she wanted so badly to catch one of
those things and they'd never even come close to us. Then when you're
not suspecting a thing...Boom!

Another thing going on this weekend is the "Bigfoot Festival" at
Honobia. I think this may only be the second year for this festival,
but it sounds interesting. Who knows? You might actually see Bigfoot
off down there somewhere!

Our menu for today includes:

         Tenderized steak
          Mashed potatoes and gravy
          Broccoli with cheese sauce
          Fried okra
          Rice
          Corn
          Baked potato bar
          Rolls

Our fast food is Pizza.

And for dessert we're having Bread Pudding.

Have a great weekend,

Rhoda :-)
