Good Morning:

I wanted to give you a little quiz to test your awareness level.

Question:

A Global Positioning System (GPS)can help:
A.  Find the nearest gas station
B.  Avoid a major traffic jam
C.  Receive immediate assistance after a collision
D.  A Stalker Track You

The answer is "D"  - Stalkers use global positioning systems (GPS) and 
other surveillance devices to monitor and locate victims.

Question:

Instant messaging, text messaging and email are great for:
A.  RSVP to an invitation
B.  Arranging to meet a friend for a movie
C.  Confirming tomorrow's lunch with a business associate
D.  Unknowingly informing a stalker exactly where you will be this 
week.

The answer is "D"  - Stalkers install spyware and other unwanted 
technologies on computers to capture information that can put victims 
at risk.

Stalking is a crime.  If you or someone you know is a victim of 
stalking, we can and want to help.  Call campus police, drop by the 
dean of students office or the campus violence office.  Be alert and 
safe.
