Eastern Homecoming 2007Eastern Mountaineers Homecoming 2007-2008

The Lady Mountaineers continue their Homecoming week with a 77-35 
victory over the Bacone JV Warriors.  The Lady Mountaineers jumped out 
to a 43-11 first half defensive domination. The Lady Mountaineers were 
led by Shaqualla Alexander, a freshman from Wewoka, scoring a game high 
of 25 points on the offensive end.   Scoring 12 points, adding  4 
assists, and 2 steals was Nicole Harris,  a freshman out of Savanna.   
Michelle Hardimon, freshman from Oklahoma City, lit it up behind the arc 
shooting  3 of 6 from the 3 point line, and finishing the game with 9 
points.   Tossing in 8 points and 3 rebounds Ruth Stewart, freshman out 
of Tulsa, continued to add to the Lady Mountaineers 42 point victory 
over the Warriors.

The Mountaineers clinched their first win of the season with a 94-67 
victory. In spite of a rough start and only a 6 point lead going into 
the second half, the Mountaineers turned up the heat, outscoring the 
Warriors by 27 in the end.  The Mountaineers were led by sophmore Manuel 
Liberty, out of Oklahoma City with 16 points.  Big man, Dominique 
Mpondo, sophmore from France, scored 14 points inside the paint.  Two 
Sophmores out of  Tahlequah rounded out the team in double figures.  
Robert Givens added 11 points and Jake Davis found the basket with 10 
points.
