Hi folks,

I don't know if any of the rest of you had noticed, but back before we
had this last little cold spell, I had been hearing the pond frogs
croaking up a storm. They know that spring is coming even if some of
the rest of us have a hard time believing. As nice as it's supposed to
be today, I bet they'll be at it again this evening, if they didn't wash
away in the heavy rain on Saturday. Then they'll have to go back into
hibernation until it warms up again, since tomorrow the temperature is
supposed to plunge again.

Don't forget to attend the "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" Pep Rally in
the Field house today at 4:30, where you can meet the Softball and
Baseball players. Campus offices are to be allowed to close at 4:30 in
order for the staff to be able to attend this event.

And most especially don't forget to attend the Farewell Party for Mary
Edith Butler today from 12:00 to 2:00 in the President's Dining Room.
While I wish her the very best in her new pursuits, she will be sorely
missed on this campus and in this town. Our loss will be Illinois' gain.

Our menu for today includes:

             Chicken strips
             Mashed potatoes and cream gravy
             Fried okra
             Corn
             Green beans
             Rolls
             Beef stew with crackers

And for dessert, a helping of Apple Cobbler a day keeps the doctor
away. (Hey, it's worth a shot anyway.)

 Have a great day,

Rhoda :-)
