Hi folks,

Hope you're having a great day.  It's supposed to be really warm today 
and the rest of the week, ahead of schedule for this time of year.  
(Could this be the Global Warming they're talking about?  I have thought 
for years that it's hotter than it used to be, but just thought maybe it 
was my age making me feel that way.)  Somehow I don't think the water 
cooler in the window and shade trees are as effective now as they seemed 
to be when I was a kid.  I don't need a lot of air conditioning, but I 
sure need some of it.

Today is our Gear Up kickoff, with our Gear Up kids coming in for lunch 
today.  The summer camp season has officially started. 

Those of you who appreciate good music should keep your calendar open 
for the evening of Tues. June 10.  EOSC's own Les Brelsford, our Circuit 
Rider for the Oklahoma Arts Council, will be  presenting a vocal concert 
at the Presbyterian Church, 108 East Blair, at 7:00 that evening.   He 
will be accompanied on piano by Kathy Brod of McAlester, (originally of 
Talihina), who also accompanied Michael Ginsburg, the Oklahoma State 
Fiddle Champ at his concert.  Tickets are $10 and the proceeds go to the 
Latimer County Arts Council to help in bringing various arts programs to 
the local schools.  I have a few tickets available, or they may be 
purchased at the door on the night of the performance.

Don't forget about the Employee Recognition Ceremony and Reception today 
starting at 4:00 in the Ballroom.  (I've seen some of the goodies being 
prepared for this, and believe me, you want to be there!)   

Our menu for today includes:

          Spaghetti with meat sauce
          Bread sticks
          Steamed red potatoes
          Broccoli and cheese sauce
          Corn
          Carrots
          Baked potatoes
          Cheeseburger
          French fries

And for dessert have a piece of Cake and some Ice Cream!
