Hi folks,

October is here so get ready for Fall Break the 16th and 17th, along
with the Fall Festival at Robber's Cave State Park , the Halloween
Carnival and lots of little trick or treaters running wild on campus.
I'm hoping the calendar is right and we can expect one of those
wonderful Eastern Theater productions this month also.

There are also a couple of really great concerts coming up on October
11 you music lovers need to know about. The more local of the two is
part of the concert series sponsored by the Latimer County Arts Council,
and will feature Brenda Lumpkin at 7:00 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church
here in Wilburton. (I believe this was to be more traditional, possibly
more gospel music.) The second one is geared more for the younger folks
and rock and rollers. This is called Bands for Boards and will be at
the Talihina School Auditorium also at 7:00 p.m. on Oct. 11. It will
feature young local talent, Falling Crossways, and well known local band
Oversoul, and proceeds will go toward getting a skate park built in
Talihina. (Check out My Space on these bands to hear a sample of their
great music.) Anyone needing tickets for either of these two events can
contact me at 465-1712.

Our menu for today includes:
             Parmesan chicken
             Spaghetti with marinara sauce
Winter blend vegetables with cheese sauce
             Corn
             Green beans
             Mashed potatoes and gravy
             Ham and cheese wraps
             Hot rolls

And for dessert take your pick from either Pineapple Upside Down Cake or
Mandarin Orange Upside Down Cake.

Have a great Wednesday,

Rhoda :-)
