Hi folks,

I hope you're having a wonderful day. It looks like it's going to be a
great weekend to do things outdoors, too, with no rain in the forecast
until sometime next week, so take advantage of this lovely weather to
get those long overdue outdoor chores done. There are always things
that need doing before winter, and we're only a week away from October.
I've actually already seen some color change in the leaves of some trees
and a few Monarch butterflies floating around thinking about
migrating. In the cafeteria yesterday afternoon, we started hearing an
unusual noise coming from outside and thought there was a lost goose on
campus. Turned out it was only a student practicing with a goose call.
I hope he doesn't come around here at 5:00 and try to shoot my bird
clock when the goose on it honks! (Actually I hope he doesn't try to
shoot anything! I love to see and hear migrating geese and hate to
think of anyone shooting at them. I tend to hope that they fly over
anyone who wants to shoot them and...well, you know what birds are
famous for doing when they fly over. ;-) And who could blame them?)

Our menu for today includes:
                Meatloaf
                Chicken strips
                Mashed potatoes and gravy
                Broccoli and rice casserole
                Black eyed peas
                Corn
                Fried squash
                Hot rolls

And for dessert have a yummy Brownie.

Have a great day,

Rhoda :-)
