Hi folks,

Wow, what a great weekend it was for the Carnival!  I got my caramel 
apple first thing this year after missing out previously, so my sweet 
tooth is happy.  (They say an apple a day keeps the doctor away, but I'm 
pretty sure a caramel apple a day won't keep the dentist away.  I still 
love 'em though!)  And the weather was beautiful, topped off by a big 
full moon for Halloween. 

It's looking like a great week coming up for Homecoming, too.  The 
weather just couldn't be better.  Today's featured events are Shopping 
Cart Jousting at 4:00 at the walking track, (makes me think of the after 
Christmas sales at Wal-Mart), followed by Chris Carter, Mentalist, at 
7:00 in the auditorium.   I can't wait to see this!  Then the Goddard 
Building will be open for groups who have floats entered in Saturday's 
Homecoming Parade to work on their entries at 9:00 p.m. 

IMPORTANT NOTE:  The grill will not be open today!  Sorry for any 
inconvenience this may cause.

Our menu for today includes:
          Chicken and dumplings
          Mashed potatoes and gravy
          Green beans
          Monterrey blend vegetables
          Broccoli and cheese soup
          Tacos
          Refried beans
          Hot rolls

And for dessert, satisfy your sweet tooth with a hunk of delicious 
Chocolate Cake.
