Hi everyone and Happy Early Thanksgiving!

Well, we finally made it! After today, most of us will have a week off
to rest, eat, visit with family, and celebrate Thanksgiving (mostly by
eating). The Cafeteria will be open, though, for those students who
cannot go home for the holiday. Hours will be 11:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
every day from Monday Nov. 22 to Sun. Nov. 28, EXCEPT on Thanksgiving
Day, Thursday Nov. 25, when the hours will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00
p.m. A traditional Thanksgiving meal will be served that day, and the
students will be allowed to take a carryout meal with them for their
evening meal, so that we can close the Cafeteria and allow our employees
to go home and spend time with their families.

Several employees will celebrate birthdays during Thanksgiving break,
including Maria Martinez on Mon. Nov. 22, Lea Weaver on Tues. Nov. 23,
Tanya Spears on Fri. Nov. 26, and Barbara Gilbertson and myself on Sat.
Nov. 27. I really can't think of anything much better than getting a
whole week off for your birthday, can you? I guess that kind of makes up
for the fact that it's usually so cold by this time of year that I never
was able to have the cookout birthday party I always wanted when I was a
kid.

For those of you who will still be around this evening, be sure and come
out and see "Around the World in Eight Plays", presented by Theatre
Eastern, and directed by Melissa Heath-Lee, and starring a whole gang of
area school children, as well as our regular Theatre Eastern group.
Admission is FREE to Eastern students, staff and faculty, and only $1
for the general public.

All you Basketball fans, don't forget to come out and support our
Mountaineers and Lady Mountaineers next Tuesday night as they take on
Seminole State here at EOSC. Admission is FREE, and the games are at
6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.

Our menu for today includes:
            Spaghetti with meat sauce
             BBQ sandwiches
             California blend vegetables
             French fries
             Garlic bread
             Green beans

And for dessert, have a helping of Cobbler.

Have a blessed, safe and happy Thanksgiving break,

Rhoda :-)
