 Hi folks,
 
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and got some much needed rest during the break.  It sometimes seems hard to do with so much focus on the holidays and all the preparations and shopping involved, but it's important to take care of yourself.  Slow down if you need to and don't stress over every little thing.
 
There will be a Staff Council meeting Tues. Dec. 3 at 2:00 in the Library Conference Room, and everyone is invited to attend.  
 
On Wed. Dec. 4 the Annual Employee Christmas Reception will be held in the Ballroom from 3:45 till 5:00.  The Cafeteria Staff is preparing a wide assortment of wonderful goodies for the event, so if you don't come you'll definitely be missing something!  
 
Thursday evening the EOSC Music Department will present their Fall Recital in the Choir Room, Pratt 118, at 7:00 p.m.  Please attend and enjoy the wonderful music our new music director, Brandon Hendrix, and his students have worked on for us.
 
Also, on Sunday Dec. 8, the Music Department will present the annual Candlelighting program at 5:00 p.m. in Mitchell Auditorium.  This presentation should definitely get you in the mood for the upcoming Christmas holiday season.
 
EOSC birthdays for the week include:  Friday Dec. 6, David Martinez of our Post Office; Saturday Dec. 7, instructors Marilynn Duncan and Phillip Hawthorne share a birthday; and Sunday Dec. 8, new carpenter, George Martinez, will celebrate his big day.  Please wish all these wonderful folks a great day when you see them.
 
Lunch menus for the week include:
 
Monday:  Smothered beef burgers, loaded baked potato casserole, corn on the cob, baby carrots, winter blend vegetables, wild rice, hot rolls, red raspberry poke cake, and gumbo soup.
 
Tuesday:  BBQ ribs, potato wedges, baked beans, fried okra, macaroni and cheese, Tuscan vegetables, hot rolls, brownies, vegetable soup.
 
Wednesday:  Lasagna, steamed potatoes, fresh broccoli, black eyed peas, fried squash, mixed vegetables, garlic bread sticks, strawberry shortcake, potato soup.
 
Thursday:  Smoked sausage and shrimp jambalaya, lima beans, fresh spinach, cabbage, penne pasta and tomatoes, corn bread or hot rolls, peach cobbler, and beef noodle soup.
 
Friday:  Lemon pepper chicken, rice pilaf, fresh baked sweet potatoes, fresh squash, fresh cauliflower, English peas, hot rolls, coconut cake.  Fast food:  Burritos with chili and cheese.
 
Dinner menus for the week include:
 
Monday:  Chicken fajitas, Mexican rice, pinto beans, cheesy corn, Mexican cornbread or hamburgers and fries, ice cream and toppings.
 
Tuesday:  Pizza and pasta bar, shrimp linguine, pepperoni rigatoni, penne with tomato and garlic sauce, sausage, cheese, pepperoni and supreme pizzas, garlic bread sticks, ice cream with toppings.
 
Wednesday:  Steak night, steak, baked potato, salad Texas toast, Assorted cheesecake.
 
Thursday:  Breakfast for dinner:  Pancakes, link sausage, scrambled eggs, hash browns, biscuits, gravy, waffle sticks, cereal and fresh fruit.
 
Friday:  Cyber Café menu.
