Hi folks,
 
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and are ready to come back and hit the books.  Today kicks off the second week of classes for the Fall semester.  We have most of the bugs worked out of the new scanning system in the Cafeteria, so, students, BE SURE and BRING YOUR ID CARD when you come to eat.  You WILL be asked to go back and get it if you don't bring it.  If you lose it, you can go to the Business Office and they will make you another one.  You won't have to have cash for this, the fee will be charged to your account.  
 
Today is the last day to add classes this semester, so if you feel you need to add a class, get in there and take care of that today.   Friday will be the last day to drop a class.
 
There will be a Staff Council meeting Tuesday at 2:00 in the Library Conference Room.  Anyone interested is invited to attend.
 
Eastern's Softball coach, Andy Mace, will be celebrating his birthday this Sunday Aug. 24th, so be sure and wish him a good one if you see him on campus.
 
Lunch menus for the week include:
 
Monday:  Chicken Alfredo and rigatoni with garlic bread, corn on the cob, steamed broccoli, fried okra, vegetable blend, salad bar, chocolate cake with white icing.
 
Tuesday:  Wing Day, with Hot & Spicy, BBQ or Ranch flavors, and waffle fries, or meatloaf  with mashed potatoes and gravy, vegetable blend, dinner rolls, baby carrots, BBQ beans, wild rice, cheesecake.
 
Wednesday:  Oven fried chicken, red mashed potatoes, biscuits, corn, green beans, macaroni and cheese, lime poke cake, salad bar.
 
Thursday:  Hot links or chili dogs with French fries, or chicken strips with mashed potatoes and gravy, dinner rolls, fried squash, vegetable medley, black eyed peas, steamed spinach, cookies.
 
Friday:  Green chili chicken enchiladas, cilantro lime rice, beans and cornbread, roasted corn medley, fried okra, peanut butter and plain brownies, salad bar.  Cyber choices at lunch will be steak melts and subs with curly fries.
 
Dinner menus for the week include:
 
Monday:  Chicken fried chicken or chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy, hot rolls, green beans, mixed vegetable blend, fried squash, buttered noodles.
 
Tuesday:  Tacos or tamales with chili and cheese, guacamole, refried beans, Spanish rice, black beans, tortilla chips.
 
Wednesday:  Pork fried rice with egg rolls, broccoli beef, egg drop soup, carrots, white rice, asparagus squash medley.
 
Thursday:  Spaghetti and meatballs or no-meat sauce, or meatball subs with chips or fries, garlic bread, steamed cabbage, fried zucchini, steamed potatoes.
 
Friday:  Choice of two Cyber menu selections, to be announced later.
