Hi folks,
 
The week is starting off windy.  I guess we're getting our March winds right here at the end of April, with showers in the forecast also.  
 
Staff Council Chair Lindy Morgan and myself surprised three Eastern employees this morning with Employee of the Month Awards.  The recipients were campus Police Officer Tim Talley for January, Student Life Coordinator Paige (Priest) Lowder for February, and Registrar Jennifer Labor for March.  They have each done outstanding work in their respective positions and were nominated by a fellow employee or supervisor to receive this award.  Please congratulate them for this accomplishment.
 
The Honors Program under the direction of soon-to-be-retired Ruth Brelsford will present a Sexual Assault and Dating Violence symposium in the Ballroom on Wednesday, April 29 from Noon to 8:00 p.m.  This is a very important and informative presentation, and everyone is strongly encouraged to attend.
 
On Thursday, April 30, there will be a tornado drill on campus at 2:00, if the weather is good.   
 
Also on Thursday, the EOSC Music Department will present their Spring Recital in the Johnnie Wray Theatre at 7:00 p.m.  Come and listen and hear how talented our music students are!  
 
Lunch menus for the week include:
 
Monday:  Dorito bake, red beans, cornbread, Spanish rice, baked potatoes with chili and cheese and topping bar, corn, applesauce cake.  Cyber:  Cold sub sandwiches.
 
Tuesday:  Beef pot pie, steamed spinach, vegetable blend, macaroni and cheese, wild rice, hot rolls, brownies.  Cyber:  Wraps.
 
Wednesday:  Baked chicken, hot rolls, rice pilaf, corn nuggets, green beans with new potatoes, carrots, Earthquake cake.  Cyber:  Hamburgers.
 
Thursday:  Smoked sausage and shrimp gumbo, fried okra, corn on the cob, potato cubes, steamed rice, Brussels sprouts, strawberry poke cake.  Cyber:  Chicken stripe and fries.
 
Friday:  Chicken and dumplings, corn, broccoli, vegetable blend, potato wedges, yellow cake with chocolate icing.  Cyber:  Chicken fried steak sandwich.
 
Dinner menus include:
 
Monday:  Pork chops or grilled chicken breast, scalloped potatoes, brown buttered bowties, carrots, fried zucchini, hot rolls.
 
Tuesday:  Broccoli beef or sweet and sour chicken, steamed rice, eggrolls, chicken on a stick, mixed vegetables.
 
Wednesday:  Pizza and pasta, garlic bread.
 
Thursday:  Indian tacos, guacamole, red beans, Spanish rice, nachos, fiesta corn.
 
Friday:  Dog Night-Polish sausage, hot links, or all meat franks, with all the fixings, curly fries.
