Hi folks,
 
It's graduation week here at Eastern!  Time to bid farewell to another batch of graduates and send them off to finish their education or enter the work world.  We will miss them and wish them the best.  Remember us here at Eastern and keep in touch!
 
This evening our student athletes will be honored with a reception in the Ballroom to celebrate their performances this year.  Please congratulate them and their coaches on another successful year in sports.
 
Tuesday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. there will be a Bubble Soccer game on the front lawn for all to enjoy.  This was a very popular event when it debuted here last November at Homecoming and has been brought back due to popular demand.  Try to make time to get out there and see this fun event, or get out there and participate in it.  I guarantee you will enjoy it!
 
Also tomorrow from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. there will be a play writing showcase in the Johnnie Wray theatre, featuring works by our own Eastern theatre students.  Drop by and listen and see what a talented group we have here at Eastern.  
 
Thursday evening, out Theatre Students will have their annual banquet in Mitchell Auditorium to celebrate their year of achievements.  They have done a fine job and put in a lot of hours of work, sweat, tears, nerves and stage fright, under the capable direction of Sarah Klocke and Marshall Carby.  
 
Friday evening will bring this years' graduation ceremony, where the honored guest speaker this year will be our own Dr. Billye Kay Givens.  Be sure and come wish our graduates the best and listen to Dr. Givens' inspiring words.
 
This coming Sunday evening, Student Services will host the Late Night Breakfast, an eating and studying session in the Cafeteria, to help students get ready for finals.
 
Birthdays at EOSC for this week include:  Tuesday, McAlester campus director, Anne Hester Brooks, and Wednesday, Freshman nursing instructor, Christy Stanfield.  Happy Birthday, gals!  Enjoy yourselves! 
 
Lunch menus for the week include:  
 
Monday:  Cheesy chicken broccoli and rice casserole, carrots, black eyed peas, potato cubes, hot rolls and white cake.  Cyber:  Steak or chicken melts.
 
Tuesday:  Salisbury steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, steamed rice, vegetable blend, hot rolls, Oreo cheesecake.  Cyber:  Wraps.
 
Wednesday:  Meatloaf, wild rice, baked potatoes, steamed broccoli with cheese sauce, fried okra, hot rolls, carrot cake.  Cyber:  Burritos with chili and cheese.
 
Thursday:  Oven fried chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy, macaroni and cheese, steamed spinach, hot rolls, brownies.  Cyber:  Sub sandwiches.
 
Friday:  Spaghetti and meatballs, plain sauce, or chicken Alfredo sauce, garlic bread, corn, green beans, steamed red potatoes, strawberry cake.  Cyber:  Fish sandwich.
 
Dinner menus for the week include:
 
Monday:  Chicken fried steak, or BBQ beef sandwich, mashed potatoes and gravy, baked beans, macaroni and cheese, corn, vegetable blend.
 
Tuesday:  Hot roast beef or ham and cheese, with chips or fries, buttered noodles, corn nuggets, steamed spinach.
 
Wednesday:  Wing night!  Hot and spicy, or ranch, with fries, rice pilaf, corn on the cob, green beans.
 
Thursday:  Build your own burger, fries, ranch beans, steamed vegetable blend, fried squash.
 
Friday:  Everyone is invited to eat at the Graduation Dinner in the Amphitheatre area on the North side of the Student Center, where the menu will be chicken salad on croissants, or pulled pork on a bun, potato salad, pasta salad, fruit salad, and strawberry short cake.
