*Musical Theatre Workshop*

*New Works Festival Staged Reading*

Hello All,

I wanted to take a few minutes to give you some updates with the EOSC
Theatre Department.

*This semester is sure to be an exciting one!*

1. The seasonal job board has been posted outside of my office
(Pratt 202). Here, EOSC theatre participants have access to summer
employment companies from around the nation. Working as a theatre intern
is a great way to travel the country, exchange new perspectives, and gain
vital skills for the workforce.

2. Our Children’s Theatre production *Twain’s Tales* will run
February 23rd, 24th, and 25th, at 6pm in Mitchell Auditorium. These
performances fall on a Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Admission is *FREE*
and the production is fun for the whole family.

3. EOSC Theatre will provide a free *Musical Theatre Workshop *on
Friday, March 31st. The workshop is provided by Arkansas Tech University
music professors and professional musical theatre performers. Admission is
*free*, and all EOSC students and employees are welcome. More information
about the event will be provided in the coming weeks. Consider this a
“save the date” announcement.

4. Finally, in April, the Oral Interpretation students will present
original works from EOSC students currently enrolled in Play Writing.
Playwrights are encouraged to submit their work to various competitions
such as the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival and the South
Eastern Theatre Conference. This is your chance to say, "I knew them
when..." The event shows creativity at its finest and will be produced in
the Johnny Wray Theater. Admission is *free* and additional information
will be released in the coming weeks.

Please let me know if you have any questions or need clarification.

I hope you're all having a wonderful semester!

-Sarah
