What do you know about autism, or more accurately, Autism Spectrum Disorder
(ASD)? Did you know that we have autistic students at Eastern? What is
college like for people on the autism spectrum?

April is Autism Awareness Month, and Eastern will be screening the
documentary "Autism Goes to College" (2019). It follows five autistic
students as they take on the triumphs and challenges of college life. It
also includes perspectives from their student peers, friends, family, and
professors.

There will be three opportunities for you to see this documentary: (click
the link for the Facebook event page of each showing):

   - Mon, Apr 4, Noon-1:30p, Wilburton campus, Pratt Hall, Johnnie Wray

   - Mon, Apr 4, 6:00-7:30p, Wilburton campus, Pratt Hall, Johnnie Wray

   - Mon, Apr 11, 6:00-7:30p, McAlester campus, Clark Bass building,

Each presentation will end with Q&A time. All screenings are free and open
to the public, so if you know someone outside our college circles that
would be interested, let them know. Feel free to send any questions to me
that you might have!
