Hello all,

Exciting news! As part of Eastern's new interdisciplinary Native American
Studies program, the English Department is proud to now offer two new
courses focused entirely on Native American literature!

Our Fall 2025 offering, Introduction to Contemporary Native American
Literature (NAS 2743), is now open for enrollment, and includes readings
from N Scott Momaday, Zitkala-Sa, Vine Deloria Jr, Leanne Howe, and Joy
Harjo, among others!

The course will be presented in a hybrid format, with once-a-week in-person
lectures on the Wilburton campus with an ITV option available for students
on the McAlester and Idabel campuses.

If you're interested in learning more about the unique voices and literary
movements of Native American writers, talk to your advisor about enrolling!

Best
