Hello Students,
We want to inform you of an upcoming change to our Single Sign-On (SSO)
system. Due to security considerations and our goal of simplifying access,
we will be transitioning our Identity Provider (IDP) from Google to
Microsoft Azure and consolidating to a single SSO platform.
*Important:* This change only affects how you sign in.
- We are *not* changing our email provider—your email accounts and
addresses will remain the same.
- We are *not* moving Google Drive—your files and documents will remain
exactly where they are.
- Logging in to Gmail will continue as usual, but you will use your
Office 365 (Azure) credentials to sign in.
*What this means for you:*
- We will move from using two SSO providers to one unified system
(Azure).
- Going forward, you will use your Azure credentials to access school
systems.
- You may be prompted to reauthenticate or set up multi-factor
authentication (MFA) if you haven’t already.
- Access via Google SSO will be discontinued after the transition period.
*Action required:*
- Please verify that you can successfully log in to your Office 365
account at office.com before the transition.
- If you have trouble accessing your account, contact IT as soon as
possible.
*Timeline:*
- The transition will begin on *May 18th* as we work with our vendors to
verify access.
This change will improve security while also making login and access
management more consistent and streamlined.
If you have any questions or run into issues during the transition, please
reach out to the IT team.
Thank you for your cooperation.
