[Lender] SWASFAA Conference - revised registration policy

Good morning,

I wanted to pass along some information from the recent SWASFAA board
meeting and get some feedback and input from the group. In the past, if
a corporate entity wished to attend SWASFAA and not exhibit, they would
merely pay the normal registration fee and attend the conference.
However, the SWASFAA board has adopted (or at least tried to clarify an
existing policy) the policy of now requiring a non-exhibiting
organization to pay a "non-exhibitor" fee of $1,500 to attend the
conference. This would mean any organization that is not a school (i.e.,
lender, servicer, guarantor, consultant, software vendor, state dept of
ed / regents, etc.) would not be able to attend unless this $1,500 fee
was paid as a non-exhibiting organization.

Thoughts and comments? I think this will knock out several people from
attending if this policy stands. By the way, SWASFAA this year is in
Little Rock.
