[Lender] OUHSC preferred lender arrangement

The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center is now inviting responses from private loan lenders in establishing a preferred lender arrangement.  Simply responding to this invitation does not guarantee placement on OUHSC's list.

The Office of Student Financial Aid is seeking to create a list that offers private loan suggestions to our students with the most options available to them in the most efficient and consistent means possible.  This list will simply serve as a vehicle for students to evaluate private loan products with a side-by-side comparison tool.

The Office believes that borrowers and potential borrowers should have a means of comparing loan products and the terms and conditions that accompany those products.  Terms and conditions should be presented in plain language, allowing for easy understanding.  Borrowers should have options presented in a straightforward manner that explain things such as the application process, interest rates and fees, repayment options while in school, cosigner options, borrower benefits, and loan servicing.

To be considered for the initial launch of the list, organizations interested should respond by July 1st, 2011.  Responses to this invitation should include a single-page summary of each of the loan products offered, the products' terms and conditions, and all other applicable information that is pertinent to both a potential borrower and to a financial aid administrator.  Loan products will be evaluated based upon terms and conditions, customer services offered to both borrowers and schools, longevity in the private loan industry, and several other factors.
