[MainstreetManagers] Main Street Bucks

[Mainstreet]

All,

We don't have Main Street Bucks for all-the-time use, but we do have two events where we have dollars like that - Dickens Dollars and St. Paddy's Bucks. Participating stores buy into it and then all that money goes toward the bucks, which can then be spent in those stores only. The stores return the bucks and we reimburse them. Sometimes, stores make money. Sometimes, they break even and some stores gamble and lose. It just kind of depends on who wins. The actual bucks have the participating stores on the back.

Wondering how many of you run a "main street bucks" program ...
I know several of your communities have them but they are run by the chamber.....
If you do run one....could you please forward me the action plan?

And, list any pros and cons of running the program/starting one up...that you can think of.... From experience.
