[MainstreetManagers] Photos at events

[Stockyards City Main Street]

We use students at SNU through a contact of one of our committee members. We shamelessly seek 2-3 people to shoot the event with a professional camera and also with a mobile device for candid pictures that are immediately tagged by the subjects on our social media sites.

The laundry list we provide echoes Cindy’s…

Once the punchlist is met, they charge forward and mingle with the audience to get candids.

We have several photographers that are volunteers.  They just volunteer for the event they can do for me.  It is really nice cause we are all running in every direction.  I do ask for specific things that I need so that they are sure to capture those things.

I am the worlds worst at taking photos at events because I'm running around doing a million and one other things :)

How do you go about getting coverage at your events? I was thinking of paying someone, or seeing if someone would be willing to cover the event for volunteer hours.
