Good Afternoon. You should have received the schedule for the new Oklahoma History + Preservation Conference coming up next month (https://www.okhistory.org/about/conference). We had a meeting with Lynda Ozan and Ron Frantz on Monday to discuss details, particularly the Thursday 1:30pm - 5:00pm session "An Afternoon in Downtown Chickasha." The session is a walking tour that starts at the Rock Island Depot located at State Street and West Chickasha Ave. It will include several buildings (some under renovation), apartments, an Art Deco bank, a presentation by the Environmental Design Practicum Class headed by Shane Hampton, a café, and more. There will be breaks and refreshments. The OMSC requires attendance starting with the above session on Thursday through the plenary session (sponsored by the OMSC) on Friday.
