[MainstreetManagers] Open Meetings Act

Good afternoon Main Street.  I’ve received questions about whether or not virtual meetings are still possible, and below is information from the Oklahoma Department of Commerce legal counsel.

The open meetings act can be found online at https://www.oscn.net/applications/oscn/Index.asp?ftdb=STOKST25&level=1  beginning at section 301.

Essentially, all meetings will have to be held in person; however…

Meetings can be held as a combination of teleconference and in person if 1) There is a quorum of people at the physical meeting location and 2) members of the public body who are not attending in person have the location where they are attending posted on the agenda and meeting notice.  They are also required to let members of the public into the location from where they are going to be attending.   Executive sessions shall not be held by video conference.
