I'm thrilled to announce that Backing Historic Small Restaurants<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/savingplaces.org/historicrestaurants__;!!NZFi6Pppv9YRQw!s9yviRWU1v4G1u1dOhwWEOeyzG_3M9HrJ189d1oSUN8TpQvt4SdZ5gmu65hebngf6cKT6eS3sHJSRnJc2m4VGhR7b85c$>, presented by American Express in collaboration with the National Trust, has launched for its fourth round. This year, we are proud to offer 50 restaurants across the country the opportunity to receive a $50,000 grant. These funds can be utilized for exterior preservation work as well as general operations support. The deadline for submissions is Monday, March 25 at 11:59 p.m. EST. Grant Selection Criteria for Eligible U.S. Small Historic Restaurants:


  *   Is a small/independently owned restaurant located in a historic or older building or neighborhood.
  *   Contributes to the history and/or identity of its surrounding community or neighborhood.
  *   Tells an inclusive story about cuisine and community in America.
  *   Has a compelling and inspiring historical narrative or cultural significance.
  *   Has been disproportionately impacted by economic challenges, disasters, or other hardships.
