Hey Main Streeters, we heard you and we listened!
Come to this year's conference to learn about how to adaptively reuse abandoned schools in your community (a huge issue in OKC as the school district starts consolidating schools), receive special guidance from first time tax credit users (the good, the bad and the ugly) and finally hear from a developer who has rehabilitated three different types of resources (historic grocery/hotel, a mid-century building and a historic convent/school in process).
Don't forget to register for the Downtown Chickasha walking tour (with Ron Frantz as your guide) where you will hear from the locals about restoring buildings in the downtown, learn from OU students about the recent parking study (people always complain that there isn't enough; can't wait to see what they actually found), hear from Preservation Oklahoma, Inc. regarding endangered downtown historic theaters and finally hear from the SHPO and City staff about what to do when the Federal Government leaves their building in your downtown.
Real community problems with some amazing solutions.
Can't wait to see all of you in Chickasha!
