[Nclb] Information about the Independent Evaluator

		Project Directors,

		I am in the process of making the assignments of the independent evaluators who will be responsible for the OSRHE evaluation of your grant.  The evaluator will be responsible for attending one day of your grant activities and submitting a written report to the OSRHE office. As project director, you will still be responsible for maintaining and completing the evaluation plan defined in your proposal which should include, at least, the minimum requirements listed in the RFP.

		We will send you the name and email address of the independent evaluator assigned to your grant as soon as we have this information available.  The evaluator will be responsible for contacting you to make connections regarding the day they will observe.  However, if you know that you will be at a different email address during May/June, please let the evaluator know.

		Regarding funding of this process, the actual expenses will not exceed $2,500 per grant.  We have decided to handle the contracting and travel reimbursements directly through our office so you will not have to make any arrangements.  When submitting your final budget reports (actual expenditures), you will not submit any evaluation expense since these payments will be made by the State Regents' office.
