State Regents Receive Funding for Oklahoma Colleges, Universities
The Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education approved today $963.4 million in state appropriations for the state system of higher education for FY 2016, contingent on final approval by Gov. Mary Fallin. This represents a 2.44 percent decrease from the FY 2015 appropriation.
"We want to thank Gov. Fallin and our legislative leaders for making higher education funding a priority during this legislative session," said Chancellor Glen D. Johnson. "We appreciate the leadership provided by the governor and Legislature in an extremely difficult budget year. We will work with our 25 public colleges and universities to ensure the efficient allocation of this appropriation and remain committed to providing Oklahoma students an exceptional higher education opportunity at a very affordable cost."
