POSITION TITLE: Admission Counselor/LU-OKC

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

1.      Primary responsibility is for the admissions process at assigned
campus.

2.      Analyze qualifications of prospective students utilizing established
admission standards, guidelines, and criteria.

3.      Correspond with prospective applicants seeking information on
admission standards and programs.

4.      Evaluate transcripts and test scores to determine a student's
ability to be successful at the university.

5.      Make the decision to admit or deny a student's admission to the
university based on the academic records of the student and any other
relevant information submitted to the university for consideration of the
student's application.

6.      Represent the university at various on-campus events and conferences
when necessary.

7.      Present accurate admissions information to prospective students, as
well as scholarship and financial assistance opportunities available to
students.

8.      Maintain communication throughout the admissions process to
prospects. Must be able to work independently but also work well with a
team. Other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: Required: Bachelor degree required. One to three years
admissions experience preferred.

 

Skills:

.         Experience with Microsoft office (word and excel)

.         Candidate must have strong communication skills both oral and
written.

.         Critical thinker and ability to solve problems.

.         Time management skills.

.         Detail oriented

 

 

Successful candidate must provide documentation of identity and eligibility
for employment, as required by the Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA)
of 1986.

 

SALARY: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
