Rogers State University has an exciting leadership opportunity as the Director of Admissions. The Director of Admissions for Rogers State University is the Chief Admission's Officer responsible for the management and administration for admissions, recruitment, developmental advisement and testing, and switchboard operation. This position has the primary responsibility to direct and oversee implementation and administration of admission requirements and standards as established by the Board of Regents and administration of the University.
Responsible for application processing, admission decisions and developing strategies for maximum efficiency of the processing for undergraduate admission applications and supporting documents to enroll a highly qualified and diverse student body. Collaborate extensively with other directors in the office of Enrollment Management to ensure optimal effectiveness, strong teamwork and inclusiveness for all staff.
Responsible for management of departmental resources including operating budget and personnel, both professional and clerical for Admissions Operations. Represent the University to both internal and external constituencies and work with staff to develop a strong, effective working relationship with high school counselors, community college advisors, and other administrative personnel. Oversee hiring and development of staff including preparation of performance reviews, feedback and staff retention. Partner with RSU academic units, other administrative personnel and alumni to support recruitment activities of prospective students at RSU campus events, high school visits, and community outreach with regional community partners.
Required Qualifications: Master's Degree in a related field and three years' experience in enrollment management and/or admission functions.
Preferred Qualifications:  Master's Degree in a related field and five years full-time, progressively responsible and successful experience in an admissions office at an accredited institution, including supervisory experience at the director or associate /assistant level in an admissions office in higher education. Successful experience in recruitment and outreach programs. Experience working with deadlines, development of campus programs, staff development, and knowledge of current student trends. Some travel may be required.
