At TU, a student who has not attended any other university since having left us is not required to re-apply. We have a readmit form that the student fills out verifying they have not attended any other university, haven't been arrested or convicted of a felony, etc. There is no time limit on this.
A student who has attended another university must reapply as a transfer student.

Subject: [Oacrao-l] State Regents Staff Question
Greetings OACRAO Members, I hope this e-mail finds you all doing well in the midst of spring graduation certification! I have a question, on behalf of our strategic planning and analysis (SPA) department, that I hope you all can help me with.
For those students otherwise in satisfactory academic standing, after how many months of non-enrollment will a student be required to re-apply for admission from their last date of attendance at your campus? As an example, at one of the research institutions, a student will need to re-apply for admission after 12 months since their last date of attendance. Our SPA department has been directed to develop a definition, for their purposes, of stop-outs (i.e., students that stop attending for personal reasons) for data collection purposes and asked me for some guidance, in which I turn to the experts.
Please let me know if you have any questions or need further clarification.
Best regards,
José
