We are looking at The Clearinghouse and e-Script  to manage our transcript ordering.  I would like to get some feedback on how do you know the person ordering the transcript online is your former student or if a 3rd party, has a signed approval from your student?

Indiana University - Bloomington asks the transcript requestor three questions.  If the requestor answers 2 of the 3 correctly, they feel comfortable that the requestor is their former student.  They ask questions based on the information on the transcript such as: Did you take a history course that covered: 1. American History, 2. European History, 3. African History or 4. None of the above?

Does anyone use a method that tries to verify that the person ordering the transcript is your former student?  If so, how?  Are you aware of any legal concerns about just sending out transcripts without verifying the requestor was your former student?
