Hi, Mary. We require the student to take the writing portion of the CLEP in order to receive COMP I and or II credit. We do not require anything else.

When accepting AP/CLEP scores do any colleges have exceptions for receiving College Composition (Comp II specifically).  Such as the following:  to receive credit for Comp II the student must pass a documented writing component administered by the faculty of the English/Humanities Department.  This would be an additional requirement as the student has received the required score according to AP/CLEP.  Thank you.
