We ask the following questions in our Conduct Information section of our applications:

1. Have you ever been suspended or expelled from any college or university as a result of non-academic issues?
2. Do you have any pending felony charges?
3. Have you been convicted, plead guilty, plead no contest, or accepted a deferred judgment to any felony criminal charge?
4. Are you required to register your name and home address with any local or state law enforcement agency?

Good afternoon, OACRAO colleagues.



In order to prepare for an interim study hearing next week before the Legislature, we would like to get an idea of how many institutions are still asking whether a student has a felony conviction on their admissions applications.  If you have a moment, I would appreciate it if you could reply to this message and let me know whether you ask this question on your admission application and, if not, when you stopped asking.  Thanks in advance for this information; it is very helpful as we advocate for higher education at the Capitol.
