Hi Charlie,

Yes, we halt transcript processing beginning at close of business Wednesday after finals (just before we roll grades to history) through early Friday morning to avoid releasing transcripts with incomplete information for the new semester. We do this by:


  1.  Transcript requests submitted via Parchment: We add a notice about the temporary service disruption to our Parchment storefront a few days before grades are due (see example below) and temporarily disable ordering in Parchment (via a Parchment support ticket request).

  1.  Transcript requests submitted via Banner Self-Service: We don't print transcripts from Banner on EOT Thursday and wait to print until Friday morning.
  2.  Walk-in transcript requests: We notify students about transcript availability via a broadcast email communication sent out during pre-finals week and post signs in our front-office area. For the few students who come in asking for transcripts on EOT Thursday, we provide options to request transcripts online so they don't have to make another trip to the office.

EXTERNAL SENDER: Use caution with links and attachments
At OSU we close final grade submission at noon the Wednesday after final exams. We used to require them late on Tuesdays, and the switch to noon Wednesdays has made a positive impact on the final grade submission rate. For example, we just closed grading less than an hour ago and had only 15 out of approximately 110,000 grades missing for the spring semester. We'll finish our end-of-term processing tomorrow and release reports & transcripts with spring grades beginning Friday morning.

Good morning to all!  This inquiry is for those in the Enrollment Services/Records realm: regarding your incoming grades for a particular semester, what is the due date (or, approximate due date) for them to be submitted?  Here at University of Oklahoma, College of Professional and Continuing Studies, the due date is the Tuesday following the last day of finals (in this case, May 14, as finals ended on the 10th).
