[Oasfaa] OTAG Deadline Approaching

This is an early reminder that Friday, December 5, 2008 is the final
date by which institutions must notify the State Regents of any pending
OTAG refunds that have not already been returned to the State Regents'
office.  Essentially, this means that institutions must have their fall
2008 OTAG disbursements finalized and their completed Disbursement
Reports submitted to our office by December 5.   

A number of institutions submitted award claims too late in the semester
to allow for the usual 30-day timeframe for completing the disbursement
process.   Please be mindful that the December 5 deadline does apply to
these late disbursements, and we are trusting that appropriate
accommodations are being made on your campuses in order to meet this
deadline.  All checks for these late claims have been mailed to
institutions as of Monday, November 24.   

Cooperation by all institutions in wrapping up their fall 2008 OTAG
disbursements and reporting will be appreciated and is necessary for us
to be in a position to announce any changes in OTAG awarding criteria
for the spring 2009 semester by our deadline of December 12.

Oklahoma's financially needy students.  Please contact me if you have

activities.
