In an average year, two of your SWASFAA colleagues benefit from a Logan Ware Professional Development Scholarship. These scholarship funds allow the recipients to attend the SWASFAA conference when they wouldn't be able to otherwise.  This silent auction is certainly a worthy effort, so if you will be attending the SWASFAA conference, please consider adding an auction item.

Good morning,

During the SWASFAA conference, a silent auction will be held to raise funds for the Logan Ware Professional Development Scholarship.  This scholarship helps defray the cost of professional development for individuals whom would otherwise not be able to attend the SWASFAA Annual Conference or other SWASFAA activities/training due to institutional budgetary constraints. 

The Local Arrangements Committee is reaching out to the membership to donate an item (or two) for the silent auction.  In the past, members donated: gift baskets, wine, holiday themed items, children's toys, packaged food, electronic equipment, artwork, and books. Unable to fit a gift basket in your suitcase, consider donating a gift card.  Professional development is the core of SWASFAA's mission statement. Please consider donating an item to the silent auction to continue SWASFAA's commitment to professional development.
