POSITION OPENING: Northeast Iowa Community College
Position Title: Dean of Student Services
Position Description: Full-time position. Participate as a member of the Presidentâs Cabinet in the operation of the College to respond to the identified needs of the college. Develop, administer, and supervise or cause to be developed, administered, and supervised all practices, policies, and procedures in relation to: admissions practices, interpretation and enforcement of Administrative Policy, recruiting procedures, student records, registration procedures, student orientation, enrollment calculations and records, specified student activities and student conduct during same, counseling/advising services, career counseling and job placement practices, student financial aid opportunities, student insurance, Trio Grant Services and reporting, Iowa Adult Re-Entry Services, and other miscellaneous student services. Consult, cooperate, and communicate with all administrators, staff, and committees necessary to provide the most effective level of service to students that is possible. Evaluate all Student S
Qualifications: Excellent communication and motivational skills. Demonstrated leadership qualities. Ability to develop, evaluate, and implement strategic planning concepts. Demonstrated role in community involvement through membership and participation in community and professional associations. Experience with mainframe computers and information recruiting systems. Exemplary personal qualities including integrity, honesty, flexibility, approachability, energy, enthusiasm, and sense of humor. Must have knowledge of policies, rules and regulations, and trends relative to students and student services. Masterâs degree in Educational Administration, Student Affairs/Development, Guidance and Counseling, or appropriate discipline required. A minimum of three years experience at the community college level within Student Services and/or an administrative role preferred.
Salary: $45,000 â $56,000 â commensurate with education and experience
