Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Summary
The Research Analyst, working in the Office of Planning and Institutional Effectiveness (OPIE), serves as a key member of the OPIE team. Under limited supervision, the Research Analyst is responsible for providing accurate and reliable data, enhanced insights via analytics, and robust reporting in support of planning, policy making, institutional accountability, and operational effectiveness. This position serves as the departmental lead for one or more of the following: 1) facilitating appropriate data accessibility for end users through production of automated reports, 2) providing support for research design and statistical analysis within and among college divisions, and/or 3) maintaining data integrity and promoting responsible data stewardship.

Duties and Responsibilities

*Extracts information from data systems and summarizes it as needed for regularly required data reports, research projects, and ad hoc data requests.

*Creates surveys, databases, spreadsheets, and other records management systems to organize and facilitate data collection, analysis, and retention.

*Develops interpretive reports and presentations.

*Communicates results of data analyses in language tailored to a variety of audiences.

*Promotes data access by end users through production of interactive reports and dashboards.

*Supports evidence-based decision making within and among college divisions by modeling appropriate data use and helping others to appropriately interpret and apply data.

*Participates in a variety of committees, presentations, special projects, improvement processes, and other institutional initiatives as needed.

*Other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:
Master's degree and three (3) years' experience in research related work.

Preferences:

*Previous experience working with database operations, spreadsheets, analytic tools, and reporting tools

*Previous experience developing interactive reports and/or dashboards, especially using SAS

*Professional experience with report writing, data visualization, and oral presentation
