[OK-AIR] Concerns about possible change in due date for the Annual Student Assessment Report

Greetings!

I heard this morning from my VPAA that the regents are considering changing the due date of the Annual Student Assessment Report from December 1st each year to an earlier date in the semester. I was wondering if anyone else had heard this information and if they have any concerns about moving the due date.

I write the assessment report using the data that is reported by the academic programs, non-academic units, and faculty in the general education program. We have always asked the academic programs and faculty teaching general education to get us the information by the end of October in order to have enough time to compile the report and to get it to the VPAA for her review. The faculty need time at the beginning of the fall semester to compile the data, to analyze the data, and to report on the data. Very few of our faculty work in the summer so it is not possible to get the information before the fall semester starts.

If anyone else has concerns about this possible change, or knows any additional information about this possible change, I would appreciate it if you would please let me know.

Thanks,

Karla
