[OkStudentPrep] Oklahoma's Promise Updates

Dear Counselors,

Thank you to the many counselors who submitted Student Program Verification Forms and transcripts. We appreciate your partnership and the important role you play in helping Oklahoma students access Oklahoma's Promise and other higher education opportunities. We couldn't do it without you!

We also wanted to let you know that Oklahoma's Promise promotional materials are being packaged and prepared for shipment. Boxes should begin leaving our office later this week and should arrive at schools over the next several weeks.
Each shipment may include:

  *   Flyers
  *   Paper applications
  *   Posters

This year, we took a different approach and distributed our entire supply of standard Oklahoma's Promise flyers during the initial mailing rather than holding back inventory for future requests. Our goal is to ensure that as many materials as possible reach students instead of remaining in storage. As a result, additional standard flyers will be unavailable. However, we will continue to have paper applications, Spanish-language flyers, and posters available upon request. All Oklahoma's Promise materials are also available digitally on our website for download.

OKP Reminders

  *   Deadline for the application has been extended to December 31st of a student’s 12th-grade year. Students in 8th- 11th grade are still encouraged to apply by June 30, 2027. All students must submit an application and required documentation before their official high school graduation date.

  *   Students applying under the Teacher Eligibility Track- Any application submitted before September 2025 must have completed a Change of Status Form prior to the student's graduation day and submit the required teacher documentation for evaluation.

Core Pathway/Career Tech Option

  *
Students who are enrolled in OK Promise and complete the “Core” high-school graduation requirements are eligible to use OK Promise at a public career technology center. The award can be used only at a career tech and is not transferable to a college or university.

Student Lists for Your School

  *
To receive lists of your school’s OK Promise students and students with incomplete applications, email okpromise at osrhe.edu<mailto:okpromise at osrhe.edu>. Updated lists may be requested anytime during the school year and will be emailed to you.
