Would you forward this wonderful summer research opportunity to any students (and research mentors) who might be interested?  LIU-Post is located on the North Shore of Long Island; our faculty members offer a diverse selection of research opportunities.


Summer Internship Program
In conjunction with the Office of Academic Affairs, the Provost, and the Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the Biology Department at LIU-Post, is hosting its second summer internship program for undergraduate research. The program will fund four highly-motivated undergraduate students to work with LIU Post science faculty for 10-week research projects from June 2 to August 12, 2013.

Students must complete an application<http://www.liu.edu/%7E/media/Files/CWPost/Academics/CLAS/ResourcesFacilities/LIU_Post_SummerInterApp.ashx> and have two letters of reference sent to the selection committee by March 1, 2013. Students should review the research descriptions of the participating faculty, and indicate up to three projects that interest them. Candidates will be notified of the status of their application by March 15, 2013. The application and all supporting material can be sent to:

Internships include a $3,000 student stipend and financial support for on-campus housing.  Up to $500 in additional funding is available for research materials.
