Biology - Sabbatical Replacement Positions
The Biology Department at Northern Michigan University invites applications for two one year sabbatical replacement positions at the Assistant Professor level for the 2015-2016 academic year.
The person selected for one of the positions will teach Entomology and Limnology in Fall 2015 and will teach Invertebrate Zoology and Stream Ecology (or another course in area to be specified) in Winter 2016.
The person selected for the second position will teach Genetics, and depending upon the area of expertise could also teach graduate courses in Population Genetics and Gene Structure and Function.
An ability to teach Herpetology would be desirable for either position but is not required.
Applicant review will begin immediately. Submit a cover letter; curriculum vitae; statements of teaching philosophy; unofficial undergraduate and graduate transcripts, and the names, addresses, telephone numbers and email addresses of three references to Dr. John Rebers, Head, Department of Biology, Northern Michigan University, 1401 Presque Isle Avenue (jrebers at nmu.edu<mailto:jrebers at nmu.edu>).
NMU is an equal opportunity, affirmative action employer and is strongly committed to increasing the diversity of its faculty.
