PROMOTING UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH MODELS AT EVERY LEVEL:
INQUIRY, COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT, ASSESSMENT AND RETENTION

Research and creative activities provide the critical opportunity for students to fully engage in their education, facilitating a journey of discovery that bridges the gap between knowledge and experience. The 2014 conference will revisit effective models of inquiry with a focus on community engagement, effective models of assessment of undergraduate research outcomes and student retention, and examine student research projects illustrating these models.

The conference will be organized into three categories of panel presentations:

1. Faculty and Administrators sharing Models of Undergraduate Community Engagement and Inquiry

2. Faculty and Administrators sharing Models of Undergraduate Research Program Assessment

3. Students sharing Perspectives on Research

Faculty $50, Administrators $75. Lunch provided. To register, go to http://bit.ly/1cX0iL4. Registration deadline is April 7.

Do not be afraid to give your time to writing grant proposals. Time given to planning proposals is never time lost, but is rather time gained, so that our research, our programs, our collaborations and indeed our whole profession may become more profoundly significant.
