Dear Colleagues,

The weekly conference calls regarding the Uniform Guidance and writing grant policies for the institution have been quite interesting. We have a very short presentation on some aspect of the Uniform Guidance and related policy items, then people ask questions. The questions are very helpful to all the participants on the call for many reasons. One, the content-related question is usually of interest to all parties. Two, the content-related question might never have crossed the mind of one or more of the participants, so it stimulates a new thought or procedure plan. And three, the content-related question might have several potential answers depending on the size and nature of the institution.

So, we have decided that after a month of weekly calls, we will continue on a week-by-week basis until we (a) decide not to continue, or (b) no one connects.

This next week, June 17, is also the date for a Uniform Guidance webinar provided by NCURA (National Council for University Research Administrators) from 12 to 2:30 pm. So we have decided to have the conference call a 3 pm with the NCURA webinar as the agenda item. Call 405-225-9100 and ask for the Uniform Guidance conference call with Linda Mason. The operator will connect you to the call.

I have paid for the webinar, and invite you to view it with me. I have a little snack lunch set up so we will not miss lunch. Some people are going to view it at their own institutions, but if you have not registered, please consider coming here and taking advantage of our hospitality. We will meet in the first floor OneNet Conference Room. It is always helpful to discuss training items in a group instead of attending a one-sided webinar.
